According to legend, Sabrina was a Water Nymph who inhabited the River Severn, which flows a couple of miles to the west of Croome Park.  The statue dates from 1804, and was probably designed by John Bacon.  The urn under her arm in the left of the photograph used to form part of a water feature, but this has yet to be restored.
