These are probably Brownsea's most famous residents.  Red Squirrels are an endangered species in the UK, having been supplanted by Grey Squirrels, and this was the first time I had ever seen one of these.  Brownsea's island nature means that the greys have never gotten a foothold here, and much is done to ensure the survival of the red colony.

Ok, I don't think this photograph is going to win me any awards; I was working with my 250mm lens (which didn't get me as close as I would have liked) and a fairly high ISO rating because of the lighting conditions (perhaps should  have gone to ISO 3200).  However, I wanted to capture this moment, and under the circumstances, I think I probably did the best that I could.
