P65976 - LNER A4 Class no. 60009 "Union of South Africa" - Steam Locomotives - LNER

Taken at my regular location just of Red Lane, west of Evesham.  After my effort with "Earl of Mount Edgcumbe" the previous month, I had planned to see if I could find a new location that offered a view less obscured by vegetation, but had not had a chance to do this in the intervening period.   Having given the matter some thought, I eventually decided to return to this location this time round.     

For once, this tour came through in the late morning, rather than the late afternoon/early evening of some of its predecessors.   At this point it was running around 10 minutes later than the schedule I had obtained, which perhaps aided with the lighting conditions as the sun was slightly more in my favour at this time.
