The Blue Pool
The Blue Pool is a former clay pit, dug in about 1850, which subsequently filled with water, and was opened as a tourist attraction in 1934. The lighting effect is causing by light refracting off clay particles suspended in the water, and can vary depending on lighting conditions and from the direction of observation.
I have made three visits here; most of this collection is from the latest visit in 2023, with the one remaining photograph in the Dorset collection being transferred in. I have for the moment decided to list the photographs in chronological order.
