P43090 - Red Squirrel, Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - On Safari

Having failed to see any red squirrels on either Anglesea or Brownsea Island, a leaflet for the sanctuary in the accommodation for my 2026 East Anglian holiday gave me and my mother an opportunity to see some at last, albeit in captivity (the sanctuary is part of a breeding program for them).  This is an improvement on my 2014 being more in focus, but a combination of the intense activity of the animals and the mesh meant that I had to increase the aperture to compensate for any focusing errors, and this was the only decent image I got (and even then, I had to significantly recompose it).
