This was taken during a "Best of British" Weekend which had BR Standard Class 7MT no. 70000 "Britannia" rostered for the day's working, which had prompted my visit. The locomotive is seen on Wansford Turntable.
If there is such as thing as an official "Thomas the Tank Engine" in railway preservation, this is it. Like "Jacks Green", its working life was in the nearby area, at the British Sugar Corporation factory in Peterborough, and was also transferred to the Nene Valley Railway upon being replaced by diesel locomotives.
This image is a composite of two variants of the original RAW file, in order to combat burnout on the sky. Although I was able to regain some detail from a single variant, a second variant at a lower exposure recovered more detail in the sky, and the two variants were combined.
