P65889 - Statue of Pan, The Evergreen Shrubbery, Croome Park - Croome Park

The statue was originally put up in 1800, and was re-discovered in the undergrowth in the 1970s.

The problem I had with this photograph is that the statue faces north, and at the time I was attempting to photograph it meant that the sun was more or less directly behind it.   However, this was one of my rare occasions where I'd packed my flashgun on an outdoor session (I had considered the possibility that this trip might have resulted in some indoor work, which didn't happen in the end) and I was able to use this this to augment the ambient lighting.
