"Cheltenham" at Cheltenham, and the proper one at that! Although "925" did visit the railway when Cheltenham Racecourse Station was originally re-opened to the public, on that occasion it was actually classmate 926 "Repton", renumbered accordingly. A decade on from that, and what better way to celebrate the restoration of the line after two landslips in 2010, then to get the "Proper Cheltenham" in.
It was the possibility of being able to photograph the locomotive in its namesake location that attracted me to doing this event, and as I wanted the maximum flexibility in being able to attend, I prebooked for all four days. This was taken on the first day, when the weather was at its worst; overcast, windy and raining at some points. Although the weather improved for the rest of the weekend, I decided to not to attempt any further work at this location, as I suspected that it would be busier, and my time would be better spent elsewhere. With the Racecourse station, being somewhat shaded, there was no guarantee I could have produced anything better, anyway.
