This waterfall is found next to the entrance to the Dean Forest Railway's Norchard site, where outlets from the former mine workings flow into the River Lyd.

This photograph was taken during the Dean Forest Railway's 50th Anniversary Gala, and replaces one from 2010.   I had originally planned to finish off my visit by taking my tripod to Lower Forge and photograph an up working there, but by the time I had returned from Parkend to Norchard, the timetable had come adrift by nearly an hour, and I felt that by the time the train I had planned to photograph actually passed Lower Forge, the light situation (already pretty bad due to a very overcast day) would not be sufficient enough for what I had planned, so I decided to take the tripod and photograph the waterfall instead, as I'd been meaning to update the photograph for some time.
