This is as about as close as can be got to the source as is publicly accessible. The actual source - as best as I can tell - is somewhere between where I was and the buildings in the background.
In order to get to this location, I had parked my car in a public car park in Snowshill, a couple of miles to the north, and walked from there. I had set out quite early in order to maximise the chance of getting a parking space, but perhaps I was a bit too early for optimum lighting conditions.
The use of a polarising filter on this photograph and all the others from this session was not intentional; I had failed to remove it after the previous use of the lens in September and forgot that it was still attached.
