The December 2024 Diesel Day featured a GWR "Castle" class HST set, and I travelled on this from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. 43094 was one of the class 43s on this set.
This was the first time I'd travelled on a heritage railway where the train doors were operated electronically rather than manually. Rather ironically, I'd been issued with a leaflet by the SVR saying that the doors on the railway were not electronically operated.
This image also marks the return of the locomotive to this collection. It had been previously photographed at Cardiff in 2009, but that image had been removed during a collection rebuild.
