P92476 - King's Bedroom, Chirk Castle - Chirk Castle

Named in honour of the fact that King Charles I spent two nights at Chirk during the Civil War, although unlikely in this room as this area of the castle was rebuilt after the war, and definitely not in the bed (despite the inscription to the contrary) as the frame wasn't constructed until around 1700.
