Ickworth Estate
The Ickworth Estate is a National Trust Property in Suffolk, dating from 1253. The main building dates from 1795, and was originally built by Frederick Hervey, the 4th Earl of Bristol in order to display an art collection he had amassed in Italy, but had been confiscated by Napoleon before it could be shipped to England. Today, part of the building is now a hotel.
I have visited this property once, whilst holidaying in the region and this visit marks the first photography I did in the county of Suffolk.
