The room's name refers to the fact that Queen Margaret of Anjou (wife of King Henry VI) is supposed to have slept in the bed contained in this room before the battle of Tewkesbury in 1471; however the bed came from Owlpen Manor, Gloucestershire, in 1927, so is not in its original location.
