Battle of Evesham Re-enactment 2025
Photographs taken on all three days of the event (extended for the 760th Anniversary). Most were taken on the first two days, with a few taken on day 3, when I spent a good part of the morning manning the Vale of Evesham Historical Society's stall.
Unfortunately, I was not able to photograph any of the battle re-enactments during the event. My fears of not being able to get a line of sight on the main battle on the Saturday were realised due to the sheer volume of spectators, so that was a bust, and my plan to do the Lewes re-enactment on the Sunday failed due to my stall manning session getting extended due to lack of volunteers to take my place. Fortunately, my work on the Friday Tourneys and the Saturday Cavalry demonstration just about compensated for these losses, and overall I shot around 1,000 exposures over the three days, producing 104 production images, of which 75 are in this collection.
Some of the images may undergo some further reworking, as I had issues with background clutter marring what were sometimes brilliant images. I could perhaps have avoided some of these by choosing a different position, but Evesham Leisure Centre proved to be an annoyance when dealing with the Cavalry demonstration.
