The collapse of the embankment at Chicken Curve, east of Winchcombe meant that, at this point in time the railway was operating in two sections, with Winchcombe being the northern terminus of the southern section. 7903 is seen departing with a Cheltenham train.
The problem I had here was a partially overcast day. When the sun was behind the clouds, there was not a great deal of light and I set exposure based on a worst case scenario. In the end, the sun came out just at the right time and I had plenty of exposure latitude in the end, hence the high aperture setting.
