P55311 - Central Bridge, Forest of Dean, Gloucestershire - Railway Architecture

I think this is named in honour of the fact that the Forest of Dean Central Railway was supposed to have passed under here.  However, according to "Severn and Wye Railway - Volume 4", this is actually a bridge across a forest ride; the railway bridge was the next one down, and that has been replaced (another publication "Rails Through The Forest" appears to confirm this).   Not only that, the Central Railway was never extended this far, as the Mineral Loop made the extension redundant.
